Anthony is a highly experienced and self-motivated consultant, delivering cross-discipline risk management and corporate governance/compliance (GRC). With international experience, and an innovative approach where necessary; Anthony is dedicated to the delivery of effective systems and processes to ensure transparency of risk.

  • A skilled influencer and facilitator dedicated to enabling organisations to attain transparency, compliance and the delivery of effective risk mitigation and liability management. Responsibilities have included the development of integrated risk management strategies, facilitation and delivery of reviews, training, workshops, and being prepared to ‘challenge’ at all levels of management.

  • Experienced in managing the expectations and aspirations of clients, developers, contractors, occupiers, tenants and their visitors and comprehend the potential conflicts interested parties. He has provided training, to Boards, to operational staff and via e-learning. Where Anthony does not, personally, have the necessary expertise or a specific competence he has, over his career, built a significant network of experts who do.

  • Detailed experience in both client and supply chain, procurement and, where necessary ‘mentoring’ to achieve standards.

  • Well versed in distilling the ‘Big Picture’ into strategic goals and detailed projects including the development, delivery and direction of strategy, policies and programs. He has have direct experience in the development of sequential ‘task & deliver’ projects.

  • An accredited mediator, (commercial and workplace), conversant with the importance of an empathic approach to human behaviours when delivering productive, and successful, change management programs.

Roles have included interpretation and appropriate application of the Law to business practice, and establishing appetite for risk at all levels of organisations.

  • Experienced in delivering cross-organisation processes and the motivation of implementation teams, risk profiling, audit and delivery of mitigation strategies. A background in multi-disciplinary operational risk management compliance, and administration of international insurance programs all of which have been supported by the design, development and implementation of web based due diligence, evaluation and audit tools.

Anthony has long promoted the concept of integrated management systems, including GRC, sustainability, energy conservation, and BCM, HS&E, governance and ‘compliance’, with operational risk and liability management remaining ‘in the field’ with support from a panel of experts at centre.

He has delivered projects which include development of strategic risk management systems, environmental risk, energy and sustainability, and take a holistic and strategic view in the management of operational risk. Project delivery has also included review and development of management systems appropriate for a number of ISO/BS certifications.

Anthony is also an accredited mediator (RICS) and practising workplace mediation (ACAS). He provides restorative justice clinics and commercial mediation, and has delivered voluntary work in regard to neighbourhood and other dispute resolution services, including support of local Police and Youth Justice services.

Effective risk management requires the ability to quantify the exposure - to manage we need to measure, and organisations need to employ metrics that are accepted and understood by those in operational control of the business.

Mark Snelling MCIOB, FaPS, Grad IOSH

Mark is a Chartered Builder, Fellow of the Association for Project Safety and Graduate Member of IOSH; member of the HSE’s Interim Industry Competence Committee’s Capability & Capacity Workgroup, the PAS 8671 Principal Designer and PAS 8763 Building Safety Manager Steering Committees and the National Fire Chief Council’s NFCC Waking Watch Guidance review workgroup; health, safety and fire consultant to the Association for Residential Property Management [ARMA], chair of the Association for Project Safety’s Policy and Regulation Committee

A long career spent in health, safety and fire consultancy and project management, specialising in residential property management, construction, healthcare and education. Has significant experience in residential property management; healthcare; house building; marine; brewing; pharmaceuticals; industrial and commercial properties, and heritage buildings. He also has extensive experience of corporate health and safety audits and the development of safety management systems. In particular he:

  • Technical author for ARMA health, safety and fire guidance including their Fire Safety Management in Blocks of Flats Guidance;

  • Lead author of the Association for Project Safety’s Policy and Regulation Committee and lead author of their Risk Management in the Built Environment guide;

  • Involved in the Hackitt review and the Governments’ Working Group 8;

  • Interim Executive of the Building Safety Alliance,

Mark has worked as a Principal Designer for Willmott Dixon Construction, Kier Construction and others, has developed and implemented health and safety management systems for a number of organisations including, Ernst & Young, SEMA Group UK, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and the Rugby Football Union [RFU]; He has worked as external safety adviser to SAS Scandinavian Airlines in the UK and Ireland between 1999 to 2006; has managed a team acting as safety advisors and planning supervisors to Ernst & Young UK between 1999 to 2001; worked with a number of organisations including, McCarthy and Stone, Universal Beverages Ltd (Heineken), Herefordshire Contract Canning [HCC], Camelot; Birmingham International Airport; Croydon Council; Lufthansa German Airlines; University of Sussex, Brighton, Reading and Cranfield University developing safety management systems and undertaking health, safety and fire audits and reviews.
